Your dermal filler appointment always starts with an in-depth conversation about you and your vision for your look. After chatting with you and assessing your face, I'll work with you to design your personalized treatment plan.

The great thing about dermal fillers? It's totally nonsurgical and only requires a few quick injections. Most treatments only take about 15 to 20 minutes. After cleansing your treatment area, I will carefully place the filler under your skin. You'll be able to see a difference right away.

Your comfort is always key. Dermal fillers contain lidocaine to diminish pain.

There are a variety of FDA approved filler products that cosmetic surgeons use. In general, fillers are categorized by the substance they are made from.

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that is already found in your skin. It helps keep skin plump and hydrated. HA fillers are typically soft and gel-like. The results are temporary, lasting 6 to 12 months or longer before the body gradually and naturally absorbs the particles. Most HA fillers are infused with lidocaine to help minimize discomfort during and after treatment. FDA approved HA fillers include:

• Restylane products: Restylane, Restylane Silk, Restylane Lyft, Restylane Refyne, Restylane Defyne, Restylane Kysse, Restylane Contour

Avoid taking aspirin, ibuprofen, or fish oil for 2 weeks prior to your treatment, as these will increase your risk of bleeding or bruising.

You can expect some swelling and potentially some mild bruising around your injection sites for the first few days following your appointment. Gently applying a cold compress. will speed your healing process along.

Depending on the product, your results may last as long as 06 to 18 months. We'll go over your expected timeline based on your treatment area and the formulation we select.
