Botox, Dysport, Xeomin
BOTOX, Dysport and Xeomin are types of injectables called neuromodulators designed to treat wrinkles that form as a result of muscle contractions. We call these dynamic wrinkles. They form with repeated muscle movements over time. Think squinting (crow’s feet), frowning (“11s”), or raising your eyebrows (forehead lines).
When we inject BOTOX, Dysport or Xeomin directly into the muscles causing these movements, it relaxes the tension that forms wrinkles. The result? The overlying skin smooths out and lines and wrinkles fade or disappear altogether. Many younger patients have discovered that early treatments can actually prevent wrinkles from forming, provide a snatched lift, and give the skin a luminous glow.
You don’t have to worry about looking unnatural. I am specially trained in administering just the right dose in just the right place for each patient’s desired results that let you express yourself.
They are ideal for anyone looking to smooth out or prevent dynamic wrinkles, slim an overdeveloped jaw, lift their brows non-surgically, or get a fuller top lip without filler. We do BOTOX for people of all genders and just about all ages, often as young as their mid-20’s. We recommend starting as soon as you start noticing wrinkles to prevent them from etching deeper into your skin (sometimes called “preventative BOTOX”).
If you’re looking to fill in deeper folds or rejuvenate your face by replacing lost volume, we recommend trying injectable dermal fillers . We often combine these treatments for a facelift effect minus the surgery.
The appointments are quick, convenient, easy, and comfortable—a few of the reasons people love it so much. Your appointment will start with an in-depth conversation about you, your look, and the result you’re going for.
Once you work together to create a treatment plan, I will cleanse your treatment area and perform the injections with a tiny needle. After that, you’re free to return to your normal routine right away. Keep in mind you won’t see results for a few days, sometimes up to a week or more.
The muscles in our face range in size and strength, so it takes different amounts to treat each area. We measure and price by the unit.
Avoid taking aspirin, ibuprofen, or fish oil for 2 weeks prior to your treatment, as these will increase your risk of bleeding or bruising.
Recovery is minimal. You’ll be able to head back to work right away—Often called a “lunchbreak procedure” for a reason! During the first couple of days following your appointment, try not to exercise, rub the area, go in hot tub or jacuzzi or do anything that will increase circulation to prevent the BOTOX from traveling too far.
Typically they lasts about 3 to 4 months, depending on the amount injected, your history of use, the area treated, and some other factors.
